We invite you to participate in the recruitment for an internships in a foreign company within the Erasmus+ Programme.

Below you will find all the necessary information related to the process of applying for the Erasmus+ scholarship for international practices in the academic year 2015/2016. The minimum duration of this practices is 2 months (60 days).



Who can apply for an Erasmus+ internship?

Qualification to mobility within the Erasmus+ Programme for traineeships applies only to UITM students who:

  • at the time of the mobility are students of no lower than the second year of first-cycle studies at the UITM;
  • have a grade average of at least 3.70 for all semesters from the beginning of study (confirmed by appropriate certificate issued by the Dean's Office),
  • have a good knowledge of the language of the country where the student leaves to for the placement (best confirmed with an international certificate, e.g. IELTS, TOEFL, LCCI),
  • are familiar with "Rules of students recruitment for trips within the Erasmus+ program".

Extra points to acquire

We encourage all applicants to contact the company before submitting application documents. Obtaining a preliminary agreement with the host company for realization of an internship (we accept electronic (e-mails) agreements) will result with additional points during recruitment!

To apply for the grant, the student should submit to the University Coordinator for Erasmus+ (International Relations Department, room No. 207) the following documents:

Recruitment stages

Recruitment process for the Erasmus+ mobility is organised in 3 stages:

STAGE I: selection of candidates who received the average grade of at least 3,50 in the internal linguistic exam. Candidates who fulfilled this requirement are qualified for the 2nd stage, the others are not qualified for further stages in the recruitment process;

STAGE II: an interview with a psychologist.

STAGE III: selection of candidates according to remaining criteria (listed below), and following that setting the final list in descending order.

The criteria for evaluation of candidates

The criteria used in assessing candidates applying for the mobility within the Erasmus+ programme are as follows: 

  • final results from the internal linguistic examination (with the weight of 0,3)
  • preliminary approval of the host company for the implementation of practices (with the weight of 0,2)
  • grade average for the whole period of study up till now of at least 3.70, confirmed with a suitable certification issued by the Dean's Office (with the weight of 0,15)
  • results of the interview with a psychologist (with the weight of 0,15)
  • student's commitment to the university's academic life – e.g.: activity in student interest groups, participation in public lectures, academic conferences, etc., with 2 points for each such instance of activity, yet no more than 10 points (with the weight of 0,05)
  • language certificates (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL, LCCI): 5 points for each certificate, yet no more than 15 points (with the weight of 0,05)
  • participation in the "Buddy/Mentor" student support system, with 3 points for each semester of such participation, yet no more than 12 points (with the weight of 0,05)
  • first participation in EU mobility programme, with 2 points (with the weight of 0,05)

The criterion of the requirement specified by the host company, are also very significant in awarding a scholarship!
